Meet Team GMD: Nicole Young -

It’s time for another edition of Team GMD Q&A. It’s kind of like Vogue’s 73 Questions. Instead, it’s in blog form and there are less than 10 questions—because you’re busy and we respect your time.

This week we meet Nicole Young, the new GMD Digital Coordinator. A born and raised Londoner (the Ontario kind), Nicole recently made the move west looking for a career change and a new lifestyle. Nicole studied at Western University where she gained a BA in Film Studies and Media, Information & Technoculture. She recently gained a graduate certificate in PR & Corporate Communications. In a short paragraph, tell us a little bit about your role at GMD. What do you do on a daily basis:

As a Digital Coordinator, it’s my job to keep projects and client communications moving swiftly to ensure deliverables are met on time. From reporting and audits to communicating with multiple teams on a daily basis, no two days are the same which definitely keeps me on my toes.

Describe yourself in three words:

Ambitious, kind, funny.

Personal kryptonite:

Chocolate! I worked in a chocolate shop for 7 years, so I definitely have a major sweet tooth!

Hidden talent:

I can also speak French, which comes in handy from time to time.

Hobbies:

Hiking, reading.

A cause you are passionate about:

I’m a big advocate for animal adoption. Support your local animal shelters!

The best part of your job:

As a DC, I appreciate the variety of skills I get to use on a daily basis, which keeps things interesting. I love getting to work with such a rockstar group of people and getting to learn from them every day.
