Another week, another Team GMD Q&A. It’s kind of like Vogue’s 73 Questions. Instead, it’s in blog form and there are less than 10 questions – because you’re busy and we respect your time.

Say hello to the enigma that is Chaney (pronounced Chan-eee). As our Senior Search Specialist, his mission is to help brands and netizens find each other. He is essentially a matchmaker – one who wields the powers of algorithms and artificial intelligence. Also, please note that he likes long walks on the beach.

Hidden talent: I don’t think I’m allowed to write that here.

Personal kryptonite: My three nephews, they’re the only people in this world I can never say no to.

Favourite sports team: Vancouver Chanucks

Morning rituals: Wake up, pinch myself to make sure I’m not still dreaming, then check the latest Crypto prices on my watch. If I see losses, then I definitely know I’m not dreaming.

Favourite beach in Vancouver: Nothing beats long walks on the beach in the summer along the shores of Spanish Banks.

Office habit: I use both coffee machines to make espresso so that I don’t have to wait as long for it to warm up.

What were you doing before joining Glacier: Training to become a K-Pop Idol. #keepdreaming

One secret to setting up a successful display ad: Getting Google display certified and targeting the right audience. Wait that’s two.

What/who inspires you: It depends on my mood and what I’m trying to accomplish on that particular day.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years: Scratching my head trying to figure out what I’ve done the past 5 years. Then find ways to educate myself more about Crypto, Blockchain technology and how it will help transform online advertising.

Next vacation destination: Whichever country will allow me to enter…most likely China.

It’s 11 AM on a Saturday morning. What are you doing: I’m most likely working at my other job because everyday we’re hustlin’ at GMD, trying to Get More Done!
