The Westhills new home community in Victoria, B.C. is nestled along the shore of Langford Lake. The developer wanted to increase virtual new home tours and appointment bookings for live tours of the show home gallery. 

 

The objectives as outlined by Westhills were to:

  1. Raise awareness of the Westhills Home Brands
  2. Drive traffic to the Westhills New Home Gallery
  3. Highlight the Westhills community and Langford as a desirable place to live

 

The client’s challenge

The Victoria real estate is market hot right now. There are great new home developments through downtown and across Westshore. In particular, the Westhills area where their community is situated is rapidly developing and it’s highly competitive to capture new home buyer attention. 

Westhills typically hosts a block party to bring foot traffic to the area and promote their homes. Given the state of affairs and the inability to host an event with crowds of any sort, Glacier was tasked with an alternative method that could still engage the community, and increase exposure to the development and area.

Glacier Media Digital proposed an integrated marketing campaign featuring digital display ads with first-party audience targeting, sponsored content, retargeting on REW.ca, and an interactive contest campaign.

The contest results:

Over 10,000 clicks on drivers

  • 0.79% CTR (across all drivers)
  • $2.96 CPC (across all drivers)

Over 7,500 visits to the contest landing page

Over 34% conversion rate to entries

From the entries, 885 email opt-ins

  • Successful emails to 801 contacts
  • Open rate rose to 59% 
  • 2.25% opt-out rate.

Over 2,000 interactions with the quiz (which provided data on stock preference).
