It’s been just over a week since the Eagles beat the Patriots in what appeared to be another classic Super Bowl. With the score being close between the two teams, was good news for advertisers, who could count on eyes glued to the television throughout the game.
The exposure of the Super Bowl generates millions of dollars in advertising revenue for the National Football League. An average 30-second commercial during this year’s Super Bowl broadcast cost around 5 million U.S. dollars. Majority of viewers regard Super Bowl commercials as entertainment.
As Canadians, we don’t get to see the same Super Bowl commercials as those seen in the US because they were replaced with Canadian ads. When you realize every Super Bowl Ad is a Tide Ad. “Stranger Things” star David Harbour appears in commercials seemingly for cars, beer, jewellery, fitness programs and more, only to reveal they are all ads for the detergent.
