Here at Glacier Media, our internal agency ecosystem is made up of 200+ folks.

It’s time for another edition of Team GMD Q&A. It’s kind of like Vogue’s 73 Questions. Instead, it’s in blog form and there are less than 10 questions—because you’re busy and we respect your time.

This week on team GMD we are introducing Adam Steel, one of our Digital Strategists on the Customer Success Team.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from BCIT and is also a graduate of BCIT’s Marketing Management program. His passion for marketing began early in his youth, creating commercials that ran before home movies, and later working with an advertising agency promoting tourism in Manitoba as a teenager. That passion has only grown stronger over the years. Every day, Adam brings a relentless enthusiasm for the industry, blending creativity with an analytical mindset.

In a short paragraph, tell us a little bit about your role at GMD. What do you do on a daily basis:

As a Digital Marketing Specialist at Glacier Media Digital, I oversee marketing campaigns and work closely with our sales team to identify the most effective strategies for each business. Once campaigns are launched, I ensure they stay on track, meet deadlines, and deliver the necessary reporting to keep our clients informed.

Describe yourself in three words (it’s hard, I know):

Man of Steel

Hidden talent?

I can secretly play the drums.

Personal kryptonite?

A 3-hour-long YouTube video about an extremely niche topic, especially related to true crime or music.

Hobbies?

Going to the Gym, BBQ, and discovering new music.

What is the best Halloween costume you’ve ever worn?

Voldemort…

How do you keep your work organized?

A calendar filled with Google Tasks. Without Google Tasks, I would probably be half as productive as I am.

What are you currently listening to?

Lately, I’ve been deep into a 2000s alternative phase, especially The Strokes. When it comes to podcasts, This American Life has been my go-to for the past decade.

If You Could Instantly Master a New Skill, What Would It Be?

Either Muay Thai or Graphic Design.

Best Piece of Advice You’ve Ever Received?

In life, there are no right or wrong answers. All decisions have pros and cons, so instead of dwelling on what could have been, it’s best to make a choice and move forward with confidence.
