Here at Glacier Media, our internal agency ecosystem is made up of 150+ folks.

Another week, another Team GMD Q&A. It’s kind of like Vogue’s 73 Questions. Instead, it’s in blog form and there are less than 10 questions – because you’re busy and we respect your time.

This week we are excited to introduce Manny Kang the digital manager of the Tri-City News.  Manny is stealthy in his management style (smooooth) and methodical in strategizing with clients so they stay with us for the long haul.  In Manny’s spare time – he is a husband, father of two and is the founder of www.semofoundation.com, a non-profit organization that has been inspired by his mother.  He is truly an asset to Glacier & most especially the Tri-City News.

Hobbies: I love playing golf (poorly) 🙂

Hidden talent: I have some solid dance moves like the Running Man and Roger Rabbit – bring back the 90’s

Two truths one lie:

  1. I have wrestled
  2. I have boxed
  3. I have bench pressed 275 pounds.

Favourite song right now: Various Acoustic Covers of Top songs by unknown artists.  Loving my Spotify discovery playlists.

Morning rituals:  Either a 6AM workout or a relaxing coffee while consuming my Social Media updates.

How do you celebrate when you make a sale: I call my Sales Director Bentley Yamaura as it makes his day and I believe he does the celebration dance on my behalf. I close deals just to keep Bentley dancing!

What’s the best thing about Glacier: The People.  Everyone has been very welcoming and supportive along the way to get things done!

Your coffee/ McD/ bar order: Simple coffee with cream only.  Sometimes I live it up and add half a sugar when ordering at a coffee shop.  McD’s = NO thank you.  Bar order is usually a craft beer that I have never heard of before.

Personal kryptonite: Come on people, I would never disclose this.

Office habit: I actually sit down to eat lunch in the actual lunchroom every day.  Most of my team thinks this is a little different?  Eating at your desk is only causing you internal tension and mayhem.  Take a short break, relax and I assure you that your focus will improve and you will actually conquer more – be ready to accept success!

Rap name: The Kangster (also my everyday nickname)

It’s 2 PM on a Saturday afternoon. What are you doing:  I have 2 young kids, so I make sure they are busy doing activities so I can enjoy my afternoon coffee and a treat to match.  That’s my 15 minutes of Zen before the kids jump on me again.

Stay tuned for our next Team GMD feature to see more of the brilliant folks working for you behind the scenes.
