Here at Glacier Media, our internal agency ecosystem is made up of 150+ folks.

It’s time for another edition of Team GMD Q&A. It’s kind of like Vogue’s 73 Questions. Instead, it’s in blog form and there are less than 10 questions – because you’re busy and we respect your time.

Another week, another new GMD team member. This week on Meet the Team GMD we are chatting with Talles Faria, our new Digital Ad Ops Specialist.

Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Talles relocated to Vancouver in 2019 with his partner and dog. Since graduating in 2015, Talles has worked in the field of digital marketing and enjoys experimenting with coding languages like Python and SQL. Outside of work he loves playing tennis, walking his dog, Banzé, and cooks a mean mushroom risotto. Read on to learn more about Talles!

Tell us a little bit about your role at GMD. What do you do on a daily basis:

As an Ad Ops specialist, I help the sales team with online advertising campaigns (programmatic and local display), where I have to manage and optimize all these campaigns using different systems. I also provide reports highlighting campaign performance to the sales team so clients know how we are helping.

Personal kryptonite:

Spending too much money on gadgets and video games.

Hidden talent:

Cooking. I really enjoy cooking Mushroom Risotto because this is one of my wife’s favourite dishes!

Hobbies:

I like to play video games, cook and go for a walk with my dog, Banzé.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

My family.

If you had a time machine, would go back in time or into the future?

Actually, neither. I’m not the kind of person who would go back in time or into the future. I believe we need to learn from our past to get to a better future.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day and why?

As a tennis fan, I would like to be Roger Federer for a day. I’d like to see how his day is.

What are you currently listening to?

Currently listening to a band from Brazil called Charlie Brown Jr.

Favourite Vancouver coffee spot?

The Belgian Chocolate Cafe. I love espresso, and this was the best espresso I’ve had so far in Vancouver.

A quote that inspires you:

“You have to believe in yourself when no one else does- that makes you a winner right there.” – Venus Williams
