Another week, another Team GMD Q&A. It’s kind of like Vogue’s 73 Questions. Instead, it’s in blog form and there are less than 10 questions – because you’re busy and we respect your time.
This week on Meet Team GMD we are featuring Andrew Louzi, our multi-talented Web Developer. You can find him doing double duty building and running maintenance on GMD’s webpages, and assisting the design team with production. Andrew is just as comfortable fixing bugs as he designing an effective display ad. Read on to learn more about Andrew!
Expertise:
My life kinda feels like a “jack of all trades, master of none” scenario, but I think I could give a decent crash course on making promotional materials and editing print, web display and video in Adobe Creative Cloud.
Hidden talent:
I can play halfway through Dark Souls 3.
Personal kryptonite:
The dollar bin at Audiopile.
What are you currently listening to?
Ecco2k just released a new album called “E” and it’s some of the most exciting pop music I’ve ever heard, every song is amazing. Puzzlehead also put out my favorite rock record this year called “Big Sniff”.
What keeps you motivated?
Design and development are interesting because the tools and trends surrounding them are always changing, so it’s exciting and humbling to have a job where you’re always learning something new.
Office habit:
9:15-5:15
Two truths one lie:
I have a Leo sun, I have a Leo moon, I have a Leo rising
What is your favorite local restaurant?
Duffins Donuts.
How do you keep your work organized?
Lots of folders and occasionally backing everything up. I used to never back things up, put all the files on my computer in one huge folder and name them all things like “evhifbvrwiv” and “ifhbefyiveyvi” but I went insane after a couple years of losing my stuff all the time.
One tip for managing multiple projects:
Establishing a hierarchy of urgency to the tasks at hand and using roadblocks as signs to switch up what you’re doing.

What gets you through the tough west coast winter?
The fact that it’s not an East Coast winter.
You just won a free round-trip plane ticket to anywhere in the world. Where will you be heading?
I would love to go to LA or New York, or maybe Tokyo, definitely somewhere where there’s too much going on.
