Here at Glacier Media, our internal agency ecosystem is made up of 150+ folks.

Another week, another Team GMD Q&A. It’s kind of like Vogue’s 73 Questions. Instead, it’s in blog form and there are less than 10 questions – because you’re busy and we respect your time.

This week on Team GMD, we have our Graphic Designer/Photographer – Lebon Siu. Lebon works on Programmatic Display and Landing Pages. He also takes all the photos for our Team GMD profiles. Prior to Glacier, Lebon worked in the film industry and the music video industry. His diverse skill sets make him a fun & versatile designer. If you ever want to discuss film, music or photography, Lebon is your go-to man. Find out what his favourite song is here.

Expertise: graphic design, photography, video and cinematography.

Rap name: Bon Bon Von Bon Bon

What do you do when you’re not working: Going to the gym, learning new softwares (lately it’s been Spine), trying to contain an existential crisis.

What is one of your greatest achievements: I once won a nacho eating competition.

Hidden Talent: I can probably outeat you in a nacho eating competition.

Two truths, one lie:

  1. I climbed through the chipmunk caves without a flashlight
  2. I’m heavily scarred by a vicious parrot attack
  3. I split my lip trying to fit 25 nachos into my mouth

Office habit: Taking a lot of water breaks. I need my own water cooler.

Favorite song right now: Dealing in Hypotheticals by Soft Glas. Come talk to me about music! I can talk about it for days.

Whose work has inspired you the most (any creative figure): Arthur Elgort’s fashion photography continues to inspire me to this day. I love the way he straddles the line between ‘commercial’ and ‘personal’, capturing moments of genuine personality shining through his models in between his photoshoots. He’s taught me to always keep an eye open for the perfect shot even when i’m outside of a photoshoot setting.

One thing school taught you and one thing it didn’t: School is a great way to learn general career-related skills. But developing great interpersonal skills can take you a long way and open many doors to lifelong connections, new career paths, and more. Be a good listener and be genuinely interested in other people.

What keeps you going: My colleagues keep me going. I love hearing stories from diverse walks of life, our conversations about life and work are an endless source of inspiration for me.
