Today we meet Rob Akimow, Director of Advertising for The Richmond News. Rob grew up in Richmond and is known to some by his alter-ego, The Starchild of Lulu Island (see below).

  • I ran for Mayor of Richmond in 2001.
  • I co-wrote a song that was played across Canada and received royalties from SOCAN.
  • I have seen Bruce Springsteen in concert 25 times.

Favourite sports team: Calgary Flames

Office habit: Not sitting still and walking onto the sales floor to see how the Advertising team is doing.
